Concrete Construction

You probably have concrete if you do not have asphalt as your pavement. Although concrete is regarded as low maintenance as it can withstand more weight, its composition is not as flexible as asphalt, making it more susceptible to being cracked; if its intended weight is exceeded or underground vegetation begin to rise. Another cause for damage is the concrete's curling caused by a temperature difference between the top and bottom of the concrete slabs. Most of these issues require the removal of the damaged slab and the installation of new concrete. With Cali State Paving, our experts will inform you of the steps necessary to fix the issue and the actions that can be taken to avoid their reoccurrence, like reinforcing the new concrete with rebar.

Concrete Sidewalks

Following state and city mandates, concrete sidewalks must not be less than 4-in. and no more than 6-in. from the pavement. Also, any vertical protrusion that exceeds 1/4 of an inch can be considered a trip hazard. To ensure that your sidewalks follow local mandates, Cali State Paving can replace, grind, or fill the excess concrete.
